Caught in the act

Sunflower Fae, originally uploaded by ~sierra sugar~.

Never before seen, this Sunflower Faerie was caught on camera planting a seed. Both the fae and photographer were equally surprised by their mutual discovery, causing that moment of startled indecision. Sadly only this single still image was captured. As soon as she realized she was spotted the fussy little fae buzzed around the camera holder furiously then flew off.

Most humans are clueless and don't realize that while the world is settling down for a relaxing evening, the fae are busy in hidden places making the world a beautiful place. So the next time you're sitting on your porch sipping your iced-cold tea and watching the sun set, see if your eyes can spot one of these busy little creatures at work. Just make sure you don't let them know you see, because as cute as they appear they aren't always so cuddly.

  1. Thanks Lissa. I really struggled with this one. In a bit over my head, but was a learning experience. I still see things wrong with it, but there comes a point when you just say enough. And hope you can apply what you learned to the next one to make it better.

  2. I know this could still use a lot of work and that I've done better (and worse). This was a learning experience for me. I'm completely self-taught in Photoshop (like so many of us) and lately I have been looking up new tutorials and trying different things. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. But all if it is a learning experience. There's a lot of really great SL "photographers"/graphics artists out there that inspire me to try harder and get better. Criticism is hard to take sometimes, but if its tempered with suggestions on ways to improve, different tools or techniques, that makes it easier. And those type of comments are always welcome on this and anything I post.
